Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!
Ok, ok, we know this isn’t the REAL Santa. Santa would never wear a bib (unless eating Lobster, of course).
Gavin wears a sleep sack to bed and looks like “Sweat Pea” from Popeye! We recently established a bedtime routine that includes Dad reading to Gavin. Dad can already “read” the book without looking at the words!
Gavin has his first sippy cup, but has no idea what it’s for. He chews it like all other toys but never drinks from it!
Gavin is fascinated with our red wine rack! He loves to pull the bottles off and roll them around!
Who remembers the little brother in A Christmas Story. Poor little Gavin can barely move in his winter coat. And he certainly can’t find his hands! But who cares? He’s warm and very, very cute!
Simple pleasures! A wet washcloth and a rattle are equally amusing. One makes noise and one makes a mess of his clothes! We love our happy baby!
We did some baby-proofing this weekend. Now that Gavin is crawling, pulling up, and cruising around, we figured that we better batten down the hatches. Gavin is much more interested in the baby proofing hardware than what’s in the cabinets, but it’s only a matter of time!
Oh, and check out Gavin’s first Bed Head. Just like Daddy! ![]()
Gavin’s first Thanksgiving and our first at home. Grammy came to visit and helped cook the meal. I was extremely proud that everthing I cooked was edible. I set my sights low!
Grammy had a lot of trouble getting here (plane fogged in at South Bend), but it was my most relaxed Thanksgiving in years. You’t think with all the work that goes into a meal that wouldn’t be true, but for the first time in ages I wasn’t traveling. Ahhhh…..!
If we waiting for a picture without something in Gavin’s mouth…
Happy Thanksgiving!
