Gavin is learning to count. He has a ways to go!
Gavin has moved up to a Big Boy Bed. He could climb out easily (and did, frequently), so we figured it was time. Now he can climb back in too, but Gavin being Gavin, climbed over the little rail to get in rather than through the opening!
Today was Gavin’s first Easter Egg hunt. All the toddlers at daycare were running around the playground. Most had no idea that they were supposed to pick up the eggs! The teachers were showing them the eggs and putting them in their baskets. Gavin was mostly interested in opening them to see what was inside.
Mama has been trying to teach Gavin to sing Happy Birthday for about 3 weeks, but as of the day before Daddy’s birthday, he could only say Happy Day. Then magically he burst into song on Daddy’s birthday. After getting it on film, we went to wake Daddy with a song. Best morning ever!
Gavin loves backhoes! He learned the word and now every digger is a backhoe! Scott loves the word too and yells it out often while driving in the car. Gavin and mama visited a backhoe at a construction site. It was “sleeping” so we got to touch it.
Grandma taught Gavin to play solitaire on the iPod. Mostly, he just liked moving the cards around.
Gavin is getting right into the 4-wheeling spirit - living fast, taking chances!
